My Thoughts : First and foremost, Congrats to The Little Anthony and The Imperials, the group has finally be inducted to the Rock "n" Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Emerge from the 50's as the Doo Wop, and become soul in 60's, not many Doo Wop groups can sustain the longevity like Little Anthony and The Imperials especially during the era of many one hits wonders. Their first major hits "Tears on My Pillow" reaching no. 2 on the R&B Charts and no. 4 on the pop chart in 1958. Follow by that, the group had their failures and by 1960, they rebouded back with “Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko Bop"that stirs the nation dance craz.
Into the 60's, they had hits “Goin’ Out of My Head”, “Hurt So Bad", "I'm On The Outside (Looking In)" and "Take Me Back". Little Anthony vocal prowess has definately brought the success to the group.
If one is a Doo Wop fan or soulful music, with the same league like The Platters, The Drifters, The Flamingos, The Imposters, etc. then this collection is a great choice.
