My Thoughts : Carry on with Rhino's great selection, this anthology should not be miss if one is a collectors of classic pop. The Lovin' Spoonful embodied a bright, folk-oriented pop sound, however, their body of works is often underrated. One listen of their songs will find that the tunes are mellow and easy with harmonies. The group formed in 1964, but disbanded in 1968. Within the spans of 4 years. Their tracks have ranged from easy to folk to rock pop.
This album has showcase their vocal and songwriting ability, particularly by John Sebastian. All their masterpieces are here includes, "Do You Believe in Magic," "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind," "Daydream, "Summer in the City," along with some lesser know hits like "Nashville Cats", "Darling Be Home Soon" and "Jug Band Music"
