My Thoughts : There are plenty of Marvin Gaye Compilations available. Most are single disc or box sets and some even cover only certain genre of his songs like love songs, early hits and duets. However, this album spans his careers. A terrific, if concise, overview of the genius of Marvin Gaye. Originally released in 1983, these tracks have been remastered and sound simply amazing.

His tranquil voice and his songs of love, fun, poverty, and war make his music an inspiration to all ages. There is just so much passion in his voice with all of his songs it makes you just wants to sing. I first bought this album back in 1995, no idea how great this CD was except a few songs that has been playing on the radio. After listening thru, it makes me want more of Gaye's album. So eventually, i started collect his other album, namely : The Complete Duets (with Tammi), Marvin Gaye Early Hits, Marvin Gaye Loves Songs and Marvin Gaye Duets, and if financially permits, The ultimate "Marvin Gaye Box Sets".

This album, classic and priceless. This CD perfectly captures his amazing legacy and I believe there is only one word to describe it, GREATNESS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
